The Verichese ham factory was established in early 1970, on the
ruins of an old country house. Its location is particularly favourable
in terms of ecological, climatic and environmental conditions: the
prevalently dry and slightly ventilated microclimate is typical of the
Tuscany-Emilia Apennines. The constant breezes ensure adequate
ventilation and help to create the enzymatic processes and biochemical
changes required for the production of an excellent Modena Ham.
Prosciuttificio Verichese is a member of "Consorzio del Prosciutto di Modena DOP" that protects and controls the production of Modena Ham DOP.
